I've just watched this on youtube and I can't think of a more boring performance..

This guy has ZERO stage presence and the solo numbs my brain..

If I have ever criticised Zakk I take it all back.

Got to love Ozzy using a teleprompter! What year was this???

Never heard of Joe Holmes outside of this show with Ozzy really.

The guy can play though:

Mr Crowley

Crazy Train

I agree the Suicide Solution solo is ???? meh but i love his takes on the songs themselves.

"It is unknown what Joe has done since then, although one rumor is that Joe died. :?:

Another rumor is that Joe is working with his 2 former Ozzy bandmates Mike Bordin and Robert Trujillo on a new project in San Francisco."  :?:

First of all i do like him, he is an awesome player, BUT:

1) You can't play Ozzy with a strat
2) You need to move!!!
Black Dogs

Previous BKP's: Riff Raff, Holy Divers, Painkillers, C. Warpig, Nailbomb, Miracle Man.

well, that was possibly the worst solo i've ever seen!  has he seen spinal tap?  oh, no offence to the guy, but he kinda shows why us skinny guys should probably keep our shirts on...

as for the teleprompter, you'll find them on stage with quite a few big bands.  first time i remember seeing them was guns'n'roses in '91.

I much preferred Joe in his previous band : Lizzy Borden

The album Visual Lies is freaking awesome
Here is a video from it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sxhvw4Iggtc

Don't be put off by the visual aspect of it (although they were great when i saw them play at The Marquee in 1987) - the sound, song quality and arrangements they did were great and I think the singer sounds a bit like Bruce Dickenson - check out "visual lies" - awesome album

Joe was a guitar student of Randy Rhoads when Randy taught at his mom's music school : Musonia

He also played guitar for Dave Lee Roth - think it was the tour that Jason Becker couldn't play on (Little Aint Enough tour)

Mr. Crowley sounds great, but i still just don't like hearing anyone else play randy's songs. although on you tube someone said this guy was randy's student, so i guess he'd be proud.

When I saw Ozzy at Newcastle City Hall around '91/'92 Joe Holmes was on guitar - I was TOTALLY bummed out since I was a massive ZW fan.

Compare and contrast with Jake E Lee's performance of the same song:

Joe Holmes looks like he'd be at home in an Indie shoe-gazer band than a stadium rock band.  He can definitely play though.

Me too. I saw ozzy in Sheffield and was gutted that Zakk wasn't in the band. Fear Factory were supporting though so that kinda made up for it
MM set, warpig set, about to be fitted - custom 7 bridge 'pig, CS7 neck.

Jake was awesome as a player - seems to get left out in everyones obsession with Zakk

I love the cello playing technique where he uses his thumb on the fretboard
