Tuner bolt broke off..

Guys - I think we are talking at cross purposes

There is a ring of metal broken off and trapped down around the post of the tuner- you cant drill into it and reverse it out
In the picture it is the gold coloured bit
You need a two pronged device to dig in either side of the post to get a grip and rotate it back out

We've been lucky and done it before ok , but can be tricky

I never suggested drilling, but have watched damaged phosphor bronze rings being removed via tapping (not of the EVH variety) if they have enough depth.

I have also seen them notched (internally), and then rotated with modded circlip pliers.

You're dead right there Rob....
I had suspected that some thought it was the tuner location screw as opposed to the bushing securing nut...although you were on the money!
I'm hoping we can help out -  nothing arrived yet though

Still havent got round to sending this off yet as I've only just found a suitable jiffy bag at home

I'll get it sent to Feline soon anyway. Probably wont send it off till after xmas now actually when I think about it, I dont fancy it getting lost in the xmas post or anything.
