I'm already starting to save up for this, I just hope i'm not let down when I finally get to play one.

Seems like 2007 will be a good year for Ibanez, more pictures here

they could be at least a bit more original about it. but by the looks of it, it'll have one of those set-through necks.. which is nice

ibanez needs more maple or ebony fretboard guitars and first of all, better necks! not to mention hardware.
they are on the right way with the colors IMO

though, i MUST say, that white V looks nice. needs that ibanez 3+3 headstock though

While the Warrior does look awesome, the Xiphos is going to be alot cheaper. It was designed by Muhammed of Necrophagist so I can only imagine it's going to have a really thin neck and a set neck with a sculpted heel like a thru neck.

Ibanez are also bringing out 20th anniversary RG550's with Maple fretboard and Bright colours. Though no one knows how much they are going to cost yet.

it was designed by BC Rich originaly ;)
i realy dont get why they stick such thin necks on guitars... it being faster or easier to play has more to do with the fretboard, frets and shape of the neck, not overall thickness.
i realy wonder what it will go for. IMO, it looks wrong..besides it's made in korea (not to rag on worksmanship, but you do get what you pay for - take it as you will)

the warrior on the other hand is 700 .. and i think you can find a case for the aditional 100

hopefuly they are correct.. not like the DX destroyer fiasco they did a couple of years ago.

That's true, but some people find thin necks more comfortable to play. I find thin necks (like those on RG's) to be more comfortable for big stretches. Though I do like the thick neck of my PRS.

imo, only the thompson sig is in the right price range.. but it has cheap hardware (ibanez pups and an edgeIII fixed bridge)

If Ibanez needs to do one thing, it's to bring back the Mk1 Destroyer.
