You know what they say about the best laid plans?
My plan was that once I'd sold my ESP and Yam Drop 6, I'd get a PRS SE Custom with a trem bridge, into which I'd drop my Warpigs.
That plan went out the window earler today when I played one and found the trem arm was appalling. It was thin, cheap and nasty. It felt like it would snap if it gave it a quick Beck style whack to make it warble (which is something I do a lot). I know it's a small thing, but it has put me off the guitar, cos I don't want to c--k about changing the trem.
It's a real shame, cos the rest of the guitar was pretty good.
So my appeal for opinions is based around this question: What should I buy instead?
I'm open to ideas. The only critieria are:
1. Must have a trem bridge, but not a Floyd - I'm not extreme enough a trem player to warrant one.
2. Must have 2 humbuckers, or be possible to easily modify to take 2 humbuckers.
3. Nothing with a very flat fingerboard or very thin neck.
Budget is around £500, and of course 2nd hand stuff is very much an option.
Please hit me with suggestions guys. I'm sure there will be plenty of experienced people on here who will have some ideas I'll never have thought of.
Thanks for taking the time.
