Exactly what I thought! :D I always wanted a Rocket Roll but they're as rare as hens' teeth.

I also like the fact that it has the crown inlays, binding etc - it's a V trying to diguise itself as a Les Paul.

Yes but... they are still much cheaper than a real Gibbo LP - fret access is good and the neck is very nice.

Other thought would be an Eggle Berlin Stop Tail - if you can find one for sensible money!

Eastwood GP. I have one, it plays like a les paul, but with a faster neck, and brighter pickups (imitation dimarzio super 2's are stock). It can sustain for hours, and has lovely fret access.
Pretty much everything is the same as a lespaul: mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, maple carved top, les paul style controls. My favorite difference is that it is neck thru, i have one and you can VERY clearly see the lines on the back... all for CHEAP. I loves my gp.

DUDE!! You have impeccable timing, I'm always looking at the Ultra-GP's and wonder one thing... I'm convinced by everything... apart from the wrapover bridge.

I know it has adjustable saddles but how do you find it? Does it stay in tune well even with wicked bends? Easy to setup and intonante and such?

that Ibanez and the Eastwood both look really cool. I'd add Schecter to the list too - I always think they 'play' like Gibsons but have more of a Fender look to them. Certainly worth considering AND the price is right on 'em.
