Erk, wedding music: wadda you play
« on: March 18, 2007, 06:59:38 PM »
So you're at a wedding, the bride (beautiful) drags you by the hand into a room where a bunch of people are sitting around listening to bods play the guitar.  A yamaha accoustic is thrust into your hands with the call of 'You play the guitar Matt'. But the groom and some musically talented guy are already sat down playing Crowded House, about 100 million miles away from anything you actually know how to play ...

... what tune do you crank out?

P.S. there is a video camera, your wife is watching and you have drank 9 pints :)

Closer to hunter here ... I did Sin City and then some Albert King Blues scale :)

And then left as everyone looked confused. As I got a taxi home, they was doing doing Briteney Spears. Which was ironic on the TV that time some guy did it but now is just Briteney Spears. Do I sound bitter? If only that guitar had been amplified ....

Canibal Corspe. Lol.
Various Sepultra tunes passed through my mind, as did some RATM. But its hard to get the full effect on an Accoustic :) Someone listening shouted 'Metallica', but when I played some pre black album stuff they didn't recoginise it. Kids eh :)

I only (perhaps for the better) thought of Billy the next day :)
But I wish I'd done Killing in the Name  Of. Or even Bombtrack as that one kind of sneaks up on you a bit more :)
Or even, as they were singing too, something by Sisters of Mercy ... say Temple of Love: "Life is short and love is always over in the morning" :)

It's off-topic but yes.
And I don't want to post them until they are installed so I can put them into my computer in one session.
