*shakes fist at Paul Gilbert*
I have fallen in love with the unique sized picks that Gilbert uses They are a bit shorter than a standard pickThey really encourage good technique in my opinionJust gotten a load in and will continue to do so

Quote from: 808 *shakes fist at Paul Gilbert*won't do you any good, that... tried, all it did, is hurt my wrist. i stopped all song progress, to get my hammer-ons/pull-offs up to par. this is my weak spot.
Over on HCAF theres a non-shredders shredding contest, with the song being Technical Difficulties.. I can do the first few bars at half time fairly accurately, but then I put it to full speed and its so de-motivating  I'm so bad at alternate picking its embarrasing.

that's just the bonus ;)the main part is, now that you know the scale, you can play whatever features that scale already.. just have to figure out the pattern, and you got it. plus, you expand your lick library with it and use it in your own stuff.
