Killswitch Engage clip with Nailbomb and ENGL Screamer

Just recorded a wee clip of My Last Serenade since I saw Killswitch at the Download festival at the weekend! Got all the parts down, not in the correct structure though.

Any suggestions on tone or playing are more than welcome, along with any questions about the recording.

Like it :) - I don't need to be sold on the Nailbomb (already have three of 'em :twisted:) but this clip has started to sell me onto the Screamer - really like the tone.

Just for interest's sake, how high was the gain control when you recorded this?

The gain was at 12 o'clock, channel 4!

Haha yeah it has plenty of gain! I only had it at about volume 2-3 or something too, my cr@p wee computer mic gets distorted if it's any louder.

A friend of mine who has a 5150 with EMGs on his Ibanez SZ played my rig and said it wasn't nearly enough gain for him though!

And to Lifted, cheers, my guitar is one of the natural finish Ibanez RGAs

I think I might make another recording since there has been a lot more downloads than I had imagined! Shame I didn't play the intro riff on the recording right!

Any requests of what to record?

i just think itīs either not enough volume to let teh SUSTAIN BREATH or you doesnīt dial in enough distortion  :twisted:
Check that and the distortion will be perfect
PLus, the guitar may be a little bit out of tune no?
besides of that, Excellent Clip
do more please.

Have you tried turining down the microphone volume/sensitivity?

I can record my savage se at full whack with a Ģ10 pc world mic by doing that, lol.
