hmmm some different opinions.

tom- i quite like the look of that. although i had a much more cream colour in mind as well which i think would work better with the gold.

i really hate making decisions.

Yeah, well the zebra is definitely creamier in person, I'll try to take a better photo of it in my Charvel (which is also blue, but without gold hardware)

Another vote for gold covers - but if you go for zebras, at least get gold screws!
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

and noodle- yer silver is nice... i did consider actually changing all the hardware to silver or black or something. expensive though

I don't think you can get anything better looking than Gold Covered pickups on that guitar.

i agree. I normally don't like gold, but they suit that guitar very well.

I think we need some photoshops of it with different pickups...

I'm a bit obsessive about colour-matched hardware - gold with gold, black with black.  I don't even like to mix nickel and chrome, although they look similar(ish).

My general rule of thumb is that gold hardware only looks good on black guitars, especially LP Customs (or other guitars with Custom trimmings, like ES-355s).  But I think I'll extend it to blue.

I allways thought gold hardware was made for Blue Guitars - It looks superb on them.

I was recording bark at the moon earlier and I tried both guitars I have with BKs, my Charvel (rebel yell) and LP (Mule). Mule sounds LOADS better. I just copied the intro riffs into an mp3 to compare them.

Might get rid of my Charvel now, it sounds more scooped and buzzy to me, even though the RY is meant to have loads of mids :\
