You guys need to shut up now about these amps, giving me mega JTM-45 GAS

I may have to give him a call, see what price he'd quote for a JTM-45 with 5881 valves instead of KT88s

Nothing at all, but to raise the cash for this I'm going to have to either hock my body or sell the cornford. I'd prefer not to as it's lovely & one of the early models....unless I can come up with some money out of the blue, or save up for it! I've already got the bitsa going on as well, so I'm pretty much skint at the moment

If you've got a Cornford, why get the JTM-45?  I would have thought a Cornford does a similar job?

I've spoken to Martin about these amps too :)

I've enquired as to having 1 built with London power Scaling installed and the price he's quoted is cheaper than a new Marshall JTM45 RI. Now all I have to do is justify it to myself (and find a reason so that my girlfriend doesn't kill me     ) and then it'll be being ordered

And it's all your fault Dave!

Sorry guys    He's got a JTM-45 on the bench at the moment already - must be flavour of the month!

I'm meeting up with Martin next week with my collection of amps to try them out in a rehearsal room (i.e. cranked).  He's bringing his too, plus we're both bringing a few pedals and guitars.  Should be a great evening trying out some top gear  :D

By the way, he's just modded my #1 Laney Klipp ("Brownie") to have a Marshall Super Bass spec pre-amp section (leaving the original Klipp power amp section as it is).  I've christened it the Martaney Super Klipp  ;)

It's a wall shaking MONSTER

It's not your fault mate. It's well known that us guitarists are fickle

Sounds like a great night you have planned there mate!

I can't even find someone that sets guitars up in my area, let alone an amp tech that knows his stuff and lets you have jam sessions to try stuff out
