I'm a bit late on this one too. Your new amp looks gorgeous TF, the insides just ooze quality!
Does it nail that Angus and Malcom crunch?

Well it got cranked last night   :D

Take one SG
One guitar cable
Input into the high treble channel via the high input
Set the amp to:
Presence = 3
Bass = 3
Middle = 6
Treble = 6
Volume = 7

Did someone say Angus?  ;)

Oh, and the KT-66s glow blue as you play.  How cool is that?????

Hey guys !   Sorry to butt in on this conversation. I was cruising the www this morning (as you do) looking for Jtm45 info, as I have been wanting one, but just couldn't decide between a Ceriatone and one of the Marshall RI's. The Ceriatone is almost certaily a better amp but I was nervous about getting it shipped from Malaysia (or wherever they are), and the lack of aftersales support.
  Anyway, I came upon this thread - wowsers !  I became very interested.
After a couple of emails to Martin at martamps I was very, very interested. I couldn't believe he could produce the amp at the price point that he does. He sure can't make too much money out of it at the moment. Anyway, Martin seems like a top guy. And the long and the short of it is that I ordered a Jtm45 like Twinfan's, with Power scaling !!! All hand-wired, brand new, all for the sum of £730. I am almost wetting myself in anticipation.
  I can't believe that eventually I'm going to get the "amp of my dreams" (cheesy though it sounds).
  Twinfan - Martin said you made some great noise the other night, and that he liked the G12H's the best with the amp - he couldn't quite remember whether it was the heritage's or the anniversary model though ??
  Anyway, I've got pretty reasonable recording gear, so when it arrives (Nov sometime), I'll defo be putting up some clips ("Back in Black" is likely to feature !).

Hi Alan - welcome to the forum!

You made a good choice!  Martin is a top bloke.

We didn't try my JTM45 with G12Hs last night, just my 2x12 with V30s and his 4x10 cab.  It didn't like the pair of V30s as it wasn't giving them enough signal to truly bloom.  We likened the tone of his 10inch speakers to a G12H and that's why I'll be using my G12H Anniversary equipped 2x12 in future with my JTM45.

I also have a 4x12 with an X-pattern of V30s and Heritage G12Hs in that I think will work well.  A 2x12 with a G12H (either type) and a V30 may also be a good choice.  Two V30s alone just give too many mids for a vintage style amp, although they work very well with more modern gear.  The mix of speakers should be better balanced.

I gotcha TF, I obviously misunderstood what Martin was saying.
  I've got a 2x12 cab which I run as a detuned 1x12 with an Eminence Cannabis Rex in it. I plan to start off using that cab with the new '45 and maybe convert it back to a 2x12 (maybe add a G12H30) if I'm not enamoured with how the detuned 1x12 matches with it. I'll just have to see how it goes.
