Hi Twinfan , play around with rectrifiers and you may find very different levels of sag, which can sound great.

I can't be bothered!  I'm using a JJ GZ34, JJ ECC83Ss and SHuguang KT-66s at the moment and the amp sounds great.  If it ain't broke why fix it!

My JTM45/100 will be similarly specified.

The only think I'm looking at now is a nice speaker cabinet.  I'm thinking of getting a Matamp.

the JJ GZ34's are great, work well and no matter what all the guys on the LPF say , they're very reliable
 I just got some Russian spec Military rectifiers which I've been playing with , even more compression and sag, .... great, work real well with a JTM 45
