ra ra rasputin, russias greatest love machine.... i remeber when my dad used to play this.. horrible then, horrible now.

and now they're tryin to compete with hip hop videos, with all those bikini chicks and a pimp? meh

though i guess it would be a fun song if you were drunk...

sorry, experiences with boney m and other disco acts in my childhood, prohibit me from enjoying any kind of reference to that era of music.

So if i put on a space suit & play Metal i`ll be Space Metal, if i put a keyboard solo in it i`ll be Progressive Space Metal & if we then play at a thousand miles an hour we`ll be sh*t or Dragon force ! gotcha

It's so catchy!

that was the problem of the disco era.. it's catchy, but it's obnoxious use of synths and everything newly electronic, makes it SUCK

They do it because nothing genuinely new has happened to the genre for years.

It's a sad state of affairs for metal when the only thing which really separates bands is their costumes.

I may well take some flack for this, but unless someone can show me a band where I can A) bear to listen through an entire track and B) don't immediately think "trying to be slayer/metallica/iron maiden/whoever"  I'm sticking by it.

I'm not saying there aren't current metal bands about who I like (SOAD being my particular favourite), and I don't think indie is any better, but I do think this, riff harder, scream louder, different hat; voila! new genre thing is ridiculous.

I wouldn't call Turisas something like that, they have a violin player and an accordion player, who else has that, more to the point where do you find a metal playing accordion player?!?!
So they are doing something different imo.
