I bought a load of stuff from BYOC a couple of years ago, the phaser is awesome, the digital delay is pretty good too. You do need to be a bit careful with these effects thought, they are are True bypass, and if you dont have a buffer in the chain they can be really tempremental.

I painted mine glow in the dark green, and lacquered over a print I got off ebay. Even if you do a great job 6 months of giging Will have it looking battle scarred in no time.

You should also try out generalguitargadgets.com, ive built at least ten of their pedals and they are great too.

First Foo Fighters record was recorded using an original vintage Rat. It's a great pedal for mixing between overdrive, distortion and harsh fuzz - the Keeley mods make a massive difference.

I think Nuno used a Rat on most of the early Extreme recordings.

Screen printing is expensive and only worth it if you're a pedal builder aiming to sell your wares.

Most DIYers use waterslide decals.

I quite like how nerdy the printed labels look! Although I am still debating just applying the various coats of paint and then, before sealing, writing stuff on with a sharpie. GHETTO!!

One method easier than screen printing and water slides

Iron on Tshirt transfers, use the version designed for dark material so you can get a white background. A lot of the diy folks use them

I would post some links but I have just switched jobs (moved 400 miles closer to home in the process) and I havn't had time to get my work machine setup as I want it.

Couple of hints,

for metallic use black primer
For pearlescent finishes, white primer gives a pastel shade, black primer a deeper finish.
For binary (flip) colours use no more than 2 thin coats.

Createx make a gloss black acrylic that you can bake onto the pedal, this gives an excellent base for spray and airbrush work
