Well so far we have been told that she got a fender starter pack, so presumably this would be her second or maybe third guitar?
my second was the ZW camo, if I possessed more knowledge at that time, would probably have gone for MIJ though, is that an option too?
no place to try it I guess though

One thing I'm not clear about - does she actually play already?  

We're talking about Teles, ZW Epis, PRS Singlecuts, Ibanez PGs, Daisy Rocks - all totally different guitars.

If she doesn't already play, and with that degree of uncertainty, I think it's insane to pay anything like £2,000 on either a guitar or amp.  Why spend £1,500+ on a PRS as a first guitar then realise you'd have been better off with a Tele?

Get something cheap and save the rest for the future.  Sorry if that sounds too "older generation".  :?

It would be her second guitar. Shes been playing about a year or two. She plays manily pop rock, emo,punk kinda stuff. Paramore Greenday all those kinda bands.

^ I agree PhilyQ. I mean ive got so use to my Ibanez I can hardly play my LP anymore. The neck feels so fat and the strings are too close together.

She had a strat starter pack to start with. My guess is shes going to keep this thing for a long long time. Getting something that at first feels awkward wont really matter too much because she'd get use to the neck etc over time.

If she knows what she wants though, and has the money. Then go for it.

But obviously don't make a rushed purchase when you don't really know what you're doing. Especially not with that kind of money.

Your eyes do not deceive you. My jaw almost hit the floor when she told me. I would of went down that road but since those guitars are close to the limit, she would be playing it through a Fender 15w starter pack amp which is just pointless.


yea, i get the point..
i'd say go with a tele and something like a higher level orange or something like that. the laney lionhearts are kickass too

oh and she has to get BKs installed.. or she's asking for an ass whooping

I would get a nice Jap Tokai say LP Special or double cut in TV yellow avec P-90's, thats pretty punk to me.  

If I had £2k I would defo pick up several guitars, rather than blow all on one.

Well, If something rocks your boat and you have the money then why not?

Whenever I've spent serious money on guitars eg Gibson LP custom, Fender Custom shop strat, and lateley a PRS I've never ever regretted buying them as my playing always goes up a notch each time. This is probably due to tha fact I can never put a new guitar down and so I'm practicing more. However with each new guitar I feel different about my approach to the instrument and fiind my style expands into new territories.

Nobody's better off with a tele. I mean, she's a girl so she's meant to like guys and all, but that still doesn't excuse getting a tele.
