Your avatar does connote oldness though Phil :P

Well I'd look a bit desperate if I went for something fashionable.

Say it loud - I'm old and I'm... mildly depressed really.  :?

I like Phil's W.C Fields avatar! Phil don't let middle age get you down mate. You have to get out, socialise, laugh and be silly!

I like my full moon one too as it's ageless and I took the photo myself when I got my Eos 1Ds with a 600mm tele and a x2 converter when the moon was the closest to the earth for 200 years. I was also pissed up and stoned!

Speaking of socialising, I'm actually going to a stag night next weekend, believe it or not.  I'm kind of dreading it - getting pissed up (never mind stoned!) and going out with "the lads" is really not me at all  :? .  But I thought I should make the effort and go, rather than make some cr@p excuse.

Phil go to the stag and just flow along at your own pace, all that 25 quid round cr@p is bollocks as after 5 odd no one can remember who's round it is anyway. The best way is a whip and if it gets too much pull out and go on your own. As for getting stoned, don't. I've given up all narcotics and tobacco and feel like a new man. In fact I've got loads of energy at the moment and I'm loving it! Depression is all body chemistry, if you can manage to get a real belly laugh out of this stag then it will give the serotonin a boost then take that to a new place by a bit of exercise and before you know it everyone will be laughing at your jokes and all the chicks will want your babies, it really is that easy!!! Good luck Phil and I'll will be checking in on you from time to time. No Bkp buddy of mine is going to feel low while I'm around ok!  :D

Cheers Johnny, much appreciated.  Seriously.

I've never dabbled in the ol' substances, thankfully, and never been much of a drinker either, but I have got overweight and very badly out of shape the last few years.  Just started addressing that in the last couple of weeks, even hoping to get the confidence to start back at the gym in the not-too-distant future ("Why has that fat old man got a red face, Mummy?"   ).

We'll see.  I'll be truly amazed if all the chicks will want my babies, though - they haven't shown much interest previously.

Your welcome and don't let kids get to you as they have it all to come, considering how thick and incapable they are your winning by miles. Cut out the bad food stuff and get more active and you will feel a new man, trust me, then you'll look back and think what was all that about! Go on, you know it makes sense.

:o  Oh, Holy Mary Mother of God (apologies to any Catholics).

I absolutely CAN NOT STAND anything "street", "urban" etc., and the hero-worship of MCs and DJs drives me up the wall.  So they $%&# about with other people's music, big $%&#ing deal.

And I hate the way the "establishment" always represents "youth culture" with bloody hip hop and "urban" music.  You'd think there were no kids in the UK into any other kind of music.  Just wait until the London Olympics, the opening ceremony will be like the MOBO awards.  Including that cretinous graffiti-style "2012" logo.

AAAAAAAAARRRGH!!!  It makes my blood boil.

Sorry.  Rant over.

S'okay, I knew you were kidding.  Still triggered my "urban overload" reflex though.
