What's your oldest guitar?

my mum has an old acoustic she had from when she was younger. it's not very good, lol, but it's pretty old. probably late 60s i'd think.

as for decent guitars, i have an early 80s tokai goldstar strat that I got off ebay recently. I think it's around 1984 or so, so should be vintage in a year or so (if not already).

my oldest is a 1985 Gibson Alpha model Q3000.

Must admit I had to look that one up!  I don't remember ever seeing one of those before.  Have you got a pic of it?

i'll get one up tomorrow.  i've only ever seen mine and a black one with three p90's which i think was a Q300.  mine's red with three single coils (possibly stacked humbuckers) and a Kahler.

oldest guitar I've owned was a '67 SG jr, great resonant guitar, but the action made it pretty much a slide guitar and the intonation was iffy too.

my oldest right now is my trusty '91 Les Paul standard that I've had since '93.

My oldest is still only a baby, a 1998 Fender Custom Shop Strat. My oldest bits of kit are the NOS valves in my amps, and the transistors in my Fuzz Factory.

We should have an "oldest that you have had from new"  thread........ but then again, perhaps not.

Its a white 1981 Greco Flying V  :) Pimped with gotoh locking tuners, CTS electrics, fender knobs and a A5/A4 mule set. Its a fine guitar.

My 1976 Gibson S.G. Standard.

In the flesh it looks identical to Henk's 1973, except mine is a rosewood fretboard and Henks's is of course ebony.

Currently has original 'tar back' pickups fitted in case of re-sale. Otherwise it's Stormy Mondays all the way for me in this guitar.

I bought the guitar in 1978/9.

I've got an old acoustic called Milner. It was known as a Cello Guitar for it's similar design but it's in a right state. My Grandad bought it in the 30's second hand and gave it to me as a 3 year old to play with! I wouldn't mind having it restored but not sure if it was a good guitar in it's day or not.

I've got a 1979 25th anniversary strat.
