What's your oldest guitar?

i have four of them!  my red standard was my first "good" guitar about fifteen years ago.  the other two standards and a deluxe have come to me via e-bay over the last few years.  i love those damn things  :oops:  

Just how many guitars have you got, Blue?  I reckon you've got me and Twinfan beat.

I like that Gibson!  :D  The body shape is a lot like the Victory bass, which must have been around the same time.

i thought i had about 20, which is quite a lot! but i just did a head count and scared the hell out of myself! 28  :o   that includes a couple of basses and a traveller guitar, but still, i feel a little embarrassed by that  :oops:

All I would think about 28 is how would I evenly display them so it would look FREAKIN' AWESOME!

From the 70s I think, whenever Pearl made those MIJ Les Pauls.. Whether I keep it or not remains to be seen though, because last time I played it I couldnt get it in tune but I hope thats just old strings.

y'know, when i was born my parents almost called me Philip, it would appear the name attracts guitars, even if you don't keep it!!

I'm on 26 or 27 at the moment, I can never quite remember because it changes almost daily.

Well, I have to admit that I'm a little embarrassed by the number of guitars I own, I certainly never intended to have so many.  Discovering BKP hasn't helped - I've acquired at least 3 guitars solely as vehicles for BKPs :roll:

On the other hand, BKPs have "rescued" a number of guitars that I didn't play much.  Every one of my guitars is now an instrument that I enjoy playing & am glad to own.

The worst of it is that I can think of at least half a dozen more guitars that I'd buy without a second thought if space & money permitted :oops: :lol: but at most I can imagine being willing to let 3 of my current collection go (& even that would be a wrench)
