Riiighty oh then.

Basically (incase you haven't guessed yet) I'm a massive fan of cheesy 80's rock and metal. At the minute I'm loving Whitesnake, 1987, and am after tones similar to that album. So please recommend me some effects I should get!

Now, heres some things to take into consideration.
- I really only want high quality effects, and I'm not a fan of Boss choruses and that, but their Delay looks tempting.
- Money isn't a major issue, but at the same time I'm not looking for some overly expensive hand made out of platinum pedal, below £150 ideally.
- No multi effects

Also, my amp does this weird horrid noise when I change channels with both using the inbuilt reverb, so I think I'll buy a dedicated reverb pedal so as to not confuse the amp.

So, any suggestions?

I'm definitely looking at -
Chorus
Delay
Reverb

Gear it'll be going through - Charvel Star, Marshall DSL.

I'd ignore reverb, you don't need it.  You need chorus and delay.  My suggestion for a chorus is the MXR Stereo Chorus.  I have one, it's awesome.

For delay, this is something I'm looking into at the moment.  The TC Electronics Nova Delay is highly regarded, but I'm waiting for the new MXR Carbon Copy to come out......

I was looking at the MXR one a while back, when I bought a cheap one to "make do" until I got a more professional one.

You say its killer then?

And I wouldn't mind a reverb, for more atmospherical stuff and a little mre to leads.

Also, if anyone can think of any way to help get his signature tone (regarding pedals, EQ etc.) please help!

For delay, I thoroughly recommend the DD-20 - less tap dancing to change delay presets than the Nova. There are no other real competitors at the same pricepoint, which have the same sort of functionality.
For reverb, go for Verbzilla. Great verb pedal (thrashes the pants off the equivalent EH and Boss offerings, IMHO), but needs it's own isolated power supply, to avoid hum.

I don't like chorus so can't really help you there.

Isolated power supply, as in one adapter dedicated for the one pedal?

I've got a Verbzilla - I love it to bits, gets my Marshall Superbass into Twin Reverb territory.  Hook up a tremolo pedal as well and thats one SEXY tone.

Yes, either one adapter specifically for the pedal, or an isolated output from a multi-power supply. But daisy chaining the supply for a Verbzilla with other pedals is a recipe for hum.

I don't need a wah, thankyou very much.

BTW, apologies to all. I seem to be in a rather argumentative mood today.  I'll try and keep it under control.

Ha ha - I'm with you Alan!  I own a Crybaby, bought many years ago, but I never use it.  That's one effect which, to me, has been so overused it's had its day.

I have a Crybaby, an MXR Distortion + (which I don't use live, as my tone just gets too fat, messy and squeels like anything), and a cheap Arion Chorus.

Also, maybe some overdrive. I'm not sure....
