it was pretty decent, i think- i was expecting another exactly-the-same by-the-numbers seth rogen vehicle, but it was actually decent. I think i fell asleep before the end, though (because i was tired, not because it sucked).

i just checked wiki to make sure i had his name right, how the heck is he 28? he looks old enough to be my dad!

EDIT: ok, that's a bit harsh, but he could pass for 40. And by 40 I mean 45.

We play a little game in work where we guess the ages of the celebrity birthdays in The Sun (well, anything to relieve the boredom...  ).

When it was Seth Rogen's birthday none of us could believe he was 28.

Going back to Pineapple Express, I liked it but it really feels like one of those films where they're making it up as they go along.  And they pretty much admit that's what they did in the DVD commentary.

what doesn't help is that he seems to act thirty-something parts too.

28 - that's a lot younger than I would have guessed.

Just finished watching it - I wasn't too impressed, some pretty good moments but could have done with a bit more cohesion. He does always seem to play the same sort of characters.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Watched Avatar (on DVD not 3D) last night and though it was quite good, better than I expected. Most of the CG was of very high standard, some I thought was a little 'average', though it may have been different in 3D. The plot is a cross between FernGully: The Last Rainforest and Dances with Wolves with some Hayao Miyazaki thrown in. While watching the film, I couldn't quite shake the feeling that I was seeing CG animation. It's a bit like watching someone playing a (very well made) computer game rather than a film. However, I get this with most modern movies  :?

I also watched Avatar last night (on Blu Ray) and was more impressed than I thought I would be. It's a longish film but it really didn't feel that long.

Haven't watched in HD, but I didn't think it would be good, and thought it would drag on. Turned out to be very good.

Saw Iron Man 2 last night and enjoyed it.  I don't think it's as good as the first one but it's very entertaining.  The story's fine but the main performances are all very watchable, helped by a very witty screenplay, and the effects look very good.  Good solid blockbuster fun.

Glad to hear it's good. I loved the first one. It was great fun. I do hope Miss Pepper Pots is still around!

I watched Zombieland yesterday.  Good performances, looks great and I liked it a lot, although it did drag a bit in the middle (not good for a film less than 90 minutes long!).

yeah, good film and the cameo by bill murray was funny - but did slow everything down quite a bit

Yeah, in a way it was the one of the best bits of the film..... but despite that, it really shouldn't have been there.

On the commentary they say it was originally written as a 60-minute pilot for a TV series. I think they really struggled to stretch it to movie length, but I'm not sure why - all they needed was a bit more zombie action in the middle of the film!

Just back from Iron Man 2, I didn't think it was as good as the first movie, but a redheaded scarlett johansson made it worth my £7.50. I'd do some very naughty things to that lady.
