Dark knight works as a standard crime drama as well as THE BEST batman film I've ever seen. Damn it's good

Oh & because I'm on a Maggie Gyllenhaal, I'm going to watch secretary again...

i like cloverfield... yeah it kinda suffers from the curse of the blair witch but it has so much more story than that piece of cr@p it dont really matter.   I didnt really like the first 20 minutes and i dont really like any of the characters... but the film is good, the ending works well (even down to the clip of something landing in the sea behind the ferris wheel... why couldnt it just be something from the deep.... something that has always been there....waiting!!!)

i was worried the film would con us with suspense the way blair witch did, but at least it delivers with some good monster footage....getting right in there with it at the end!

But it looks like it was drawn by a five year old  :? I didn't really like the film anyway, but the miniute we got a clear picture of the monster that was me done, according to my lady there was an audible, somewhat embarrasing "Oh for goodness sake, who the fuck made THAT"

Recently watched;
The Machinist - Fantastic
The Dark Night - Very good
Teeth - Abysmal
Tenacious D in... - Wonderful for the cameo laden firt three minutes, horrific thereafter

i quite like the little monsters that came off the big one, but they were pure starship troopers.

watched lars and the real girl last night... strangely rather touching!!

The Dark Knight was brilliant. Although...

*SPOILER*

It really should have ended before the Two-Face plot-line was introduced. The story dragged on a bit after that, and the pacing got quite muddled.

The first 2 hours was sheer brilliance though.

I loved the hospital scene, something so incredibly creepy about The Joker in a nurses uniform

Yeah that was awesome.

EDIT: Sort of huge spoiler below!

Lots of little touches like that make it so good. Like when whats-her-name dies; the explosion made me jump SO bad!

AWESOME AVATAR! :D   I'm going to have find one too I think.

Walking away from the hospital and the intro bank robbery are scenes I'll never forget. Very iconic/classic I reckon.

Did anyone else think that the little walk away from hospital was amongst the most comical but also the most scary?

SPOILER DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE FILM

I don't think that Two-Face is dead, it was only a small fall
