Primer took me about four attempts to follow all the timelines, and then on the 4th I think I was pretty mashed when I decided I understood all of what was happening.

Brilliant film.

A little bit of a head trip...

Yeah I've seen it a few times and still have no idea what's going on in it. I believe there's a flowchart that explains it all properly but I can't be bothered to try and figure it out! And for that reason... am oot!

I've seen Primer once and even though I can't remember anything about it, I think I sort-of understood it at the time.  If I hadn't I'd probably still be harbouring a vague feeling of resentment towards it.

Last night, whilst on a loooooong train journey back from Scotland, I watched Lincoln. I really really enjoyed it. I liked that it wasn't a sprawling biopic of his life and 'just' focused on his last 4 months. Highly recommended if you like that sort of stuff!

I liked it as well, but I think most people expect something different, probably more action-orientated. My wife found it extremely boring.
Current BKPs: Miracle Man, Nailbomb, Juggernaut, VHII
Past BKPS: Holy Diver, Trilogy Suite, Sinner, Black Dog

Don Jon - quite repetitive and predictable but I still enjoyed it. The family scenes were funny, Tony Danza was great

I watched Argo today (months behind everyone else, as usual).  Not sure it quite lived up to the hype, but it's well done and the last 30 minutes or so were quite tense and exciting.

Anyone watch that generation war thing that started on RTE? Maybe you guys can't get RTE, i dunno (I can get it through sky, so maybe you can). Seemed pretty good, though (as i suspected) pretty harrowing. And I'm guessing it's only going to get worse on that score.

I think according to wiki it's coming on BBC2 soon anyway. Stupid RTE timing as usual, I missed the first few minutes so I'll probably try to catch the first bit again when it comes on BBC2 anyway

Now that breaking bad has gone, Walking Dead seems to bore the cr@p out of me now and everything else currently on tv is just garbage, I have been tying to find something to keep me entertained.
Just started watching Battlestar Galactica. Somewhat slow and a couple of characters have started to do my head in. but so far so good. I have watched the Miniseries, and then the first couple of episodes of season 1.

Worth sticking with BSG. If only for the genius character that is Guyus Baltar.

Is he the Scientist? If so, he is one of the characters I was talking about...  :)

Oh it's brilliant when he starts going bonkers. There are some great characters in it, but him and Caprica 6 are the two standouts.

Just started watching House of Cards, a netflix exlusive series on Washington politics starring Kevin Spacey. I am freaking hooked. Brilliant acting, great camera work and style and very intriguing. Evoked a similar feel to "The Firm". It is about all the behind the scenes politics and stuff. The series slogan is "Bad, for a greater good" and it really hits it. Spacey plays this guy who really is this puppetmaster kinda politician and while he is somewhat evil at times you are also just rooting for him. Bloody entertaining.
