Anything by Akira Kurosawa or David Lynch!

David Lynch's "Inland Empire" has some awesome mind-f*ckery stuff.

fvck yes, that movie is messed up!

Anyone seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang!!!

watched it the other day after seeing iron man. Robert Downey Jr. is damn cool.

Worth watching for anyone that likes movies.

Val Kilmer rocks!!

Perry(Val Kilmer): My $2000 ceramic Vektor my mother got me as a special gift. You threw in the lake next to the car. What happens when they drag the lake? You think they'll find my pistol. Jesus. Look up "idiot" in the dictionary. You know what you'll find?

Harry(Robert Downey): A picture of me?

Perry: No! The definition of the word idiot, which you $%&#ing are!

That film has more good dialogue than 1,000 big-budget, no-plot Hollywood blockbusters added together, it's brilliant.

Both Downey and Kilmer have made some terrible movies, but when they're on form they're so good.

What was the film Val Kilmer and Al Pacino (I think it was him) were in, the bank robbery one? I remember watching it ages ago and thought it was pretty good, especially that scene where Kilmer is walking outside with his bag of money and a rifle then notices the police outside..

Most definately do not watch the new Indiana Jones thing, it just would not end.
The plot was just not what Indiana Jones is meant to be about really.

Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang is one of my favourite movies, but then again it was written by Shane Black who also wrote the truly awesome Last Boy Scout. "If you touch me again....I'll kill you"
"Praising Phil X for his enthusiasm seems a bit like praising Hitler for his ambition"

I'm watching Inland Empire now after reading about it in this thread, I dont get it at all :? :? :?

Can someone explain it to me?

edit - ok I get that the actress' real life and acting life are becoming intertwined which is just bloody confusing by itself, but I dont understand the relevance that most of the other parts have :?

Watched Jumper, Its an ok film with a great ending, which kind of makes you feel like the film is actually quite good at the end, but is boring through it. I would recomend watching it for action movie fans.
Onto the Machine Girl next..

i watched The Orphange (El Orfanato) the other week and really loved it - one of the few films that managed to creep me out recently .... and its kept me creeped out for longer than i care to admit

i also finally got around to watching cloverfield recently...it certainly didnt live up to its hype but as monster movies go i thought it was a pretty good one.  Definately suffered the curse of the blair witch with it only being camcorder footage, ends up being very shaky and you are never sure what you are seeing.... but i thought they at least payed you off well near the end with some good full on shots of the monster
