Definitely John Pilger. The thought of him holding up a bank and generally being a bad guy has kept me amused today.  :)

As far as Ned Kelly goes I imagine that Mick Jagger did the best 'version' of him.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Heath Ledger was OK - he certainly had a much better beard!  I can't remember if Jagger was any good or not.

Jagger was pretty bad - if I remember his accent was pretty shocking. I've not seen the Heath Ledger one yet though.

Trying to get through this month's rental DVDs:

Yesterday I watched an Italian film called Il Divo (nothing to do with those Simon Cowell opera-lite blokes).  I like the director's previous films, but I think this called for a knowledge of Italian politics.  I found it unwatchable.

Tonight I watched a "horror" movie called The Unborn.  Complete and utter tripe.  :x

I only got 35 mins into The Spirit before giving up. That's unusual for me, I've seen some real cr@p right though to the end. In fact, I often want to see how bad the ending are. I though it would be very much like Sin City and the visuals are similar but there's no plot, the actors don't appear to be taking their roles seriously and the dialogue is hysterical but not in a good way.

Also watch Star Trek which was great, I think folk who hate science fiction could enjoy watching it. Excellent casting and lighting fast action sequences indicates much promise for the continuation of a classic franchise.

Haven't seen it, like you I thought it would be similar to Sin City but there was just something about the trailer which put me right off.  I don't think I'll bother!

Going to watch Stranger than Fiction soon. An excellent movie that shows Will Ferrel can act and Maggie Gyllenhaal looks so fing hot.

Just tried re-watching The Big Lebowski. I still don't get it.. a few funny bits but overall I find it too absurd/random or maybe I'm just too tired to put it all together.

Quite surprisingly I liked it. I think it is due to the fact that I was expecting the same old Will Ferrell stuff as usual.

I haven't seen this one but did watch Sin City. I really, really didn't like it. 2 hours of my life that I will never get back.
