fair enough, i enjoyed it in the same way i enjoyed braindead around 1995.... when i was 15.   Its daft and has that certain gory early peter jackson flavour that isnt good, but can be fun if you dont take it too seriously!!  Its not quite as good as braindead and bad taste.... but it does feel the same

Tried to watch Mad Max 2 yesterday, $%&#ing awful. I usually like cr@p films because they're funny but this was just dire. Even worse than Escape from NY/LA! Also watched The Big Lebowski but I didnt get that, is it meant to be a comedy or what?

Yesterday I watched Pi (very good) and a Korean blockbuster/action movie called Typhoon, which was dull, badly scripted and overblown (just like a Hollywood movie, in fact, but MIK).

There are some good horror movies coming from Spain!  I missed Rec at the cinema but have it on my DVD rental list.

Yeah I'd recommend it so long as you have a big tv and good surround sound :) Cant imagine it'd be good with much less - its a POV style so like Cloverfield you have to have the big stuff for it to be properly engrossing. Much better than Cloverfield though, more believable and no hollywood cr@p. Oh and the main character is really cute as well :) Apparently they're doing a hollywood remake of Rec though :( I may watch to see how badly they butcher it.

I used to get really annoyed by remakes, and I still wish they'd stop doing them, but now my attitude is: if they're good, fine, if they're rubbish you've still got the original.

One of the best British films ever  :) .   Have you seen the remake?  It's almost worth watching just to see how completely they misunderstood the original - and for Stephen T. Kay's hilariously inappropriate directorial techniques.

Yeah I know what you mean, but I really dont think it'll work. The way it is now is perfect, I reckon I'd actually prefer it in spanish with subs, it adds to the confusion later on :P

no, not seen the remake... not sure i want to. as we know: the original manages to be remain bleak, but at the same time be an enthralling action film even if it doesn't glamourise the hard criminal action it portarys. i shudder to think what the hollywood version is like.

Saw Equilibrium last night. I thought it was rubbish - cheap Holywooded ripoff hybrid of Brave New World and 1984.

Going to see The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas Today (and pick up my JCM800 from the Marshall factory!). Hope it's good. Looks interesting.
LOVING the Mules!
