(No doubt all will be made a lot simpler in the American remake.
Please tell me this isn't happening

It is, I'm afraid - directed by the bloke who did Cloverfield.

As far as I know it's only at the development stage, so fingers crossed it'll never actually happen.

I saw Drag Me to Hell.

I gather the director often produces funny gore stuff? That was quite good as far as I was concerned, but when it got to the depths of the black magic I just switched off

And the ending was very blatantly left open, I think its along the lines of Evil Dead sequels or whatever

Yeah, he used to.  Never seen Evil Dead, Will?

Drag Me to Hell was pretty good, not quite as good as I was hoping though.

saw drag me to hell the other night too.  was fun!  it seems like the first actual Sam Raimi film in a while, spiderman really didn't seem like one of his at all.  was great to see he still goes for all the crazy camera angles and big googly eye moments!  no Bruce Campbell though :(

I hate to say it, but I think Bruce Campbell has lost it.  Have you seen My Name Is Bruce?  Utter drivel.

Has anyone seen Transformers yet? I heard it was rubbish.

I've heard it's exactly like the first one, so if you saw that draw your own conclusions!

I won't be bothering.

I watched two films this week. Gran Torino and The Core. Results of this are as follows:

Gran Torino - Great film, good story line and great acting.
The Core - Hilariously bad. Some very hammy acting and scripting.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Gran Torino is awesome, lets hope that Clint is immortal and can continue to direct such great films

Indeed. The spitting scene made me laugh out loud. I was also very surprised to find out the girl who played Sue was only 16 when it was filmed  :o

Just tried to watch Max Payne and had to turn it off after 15-20 minutes  Absolute twaddle. The sound is really shite as well. I dont know if its just a bad quality copy or what but it seems like its really compressed; the background noise doesnt stay constant, like its quiet when theres talking then goes loud when talking stops. So annoying.
