2 episodes into Boardwalk Empire now. Really enjoying it :)

When did that start? I was meaning to record it but must have missed it  :x
I think I hate being indecisive.

Reds and Blues - The Ballad of Dixie and Kenny

Funny(ish) if you support either Everton or The shitee....  Although the nipper woke up 10 minutes from the end of it and I still haven't got round to seeing the rest.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

as awesome as yvonne strahovski? :D

seriously, though, i'll give it a go if i get a chance- we finally got round to upgrading from sky to sky+ recently, so i've been watching a whole pile of shows that i missed before and have a bit of a backlog... trying to cut down the number of shows i'm watching, not increase it

haha, I started watching it to fill the void as neither House or Fringe have been on Sky 1 for ages :(

I think it's just old ones on Universal. And I thought his accent was good!

And now you can use those to fill the voids between seasons of the vastly superior Boardwalk Empire  I've just gotten Mad Men to start watching.

Watched Tron (the original) in my bed last night, still daft fun, though it obviously looks dreadful compared to how I remembered it being, having not watched it in probably 15-20 years.

That's one of the main reasons I don't watch House.

His accent makes me feel uncomfortable, almost embarrassed.  Maybe it isn't really that bad, but I spent so many years hearing him sounding posh in British programmes.... I can only hear the phoniness when he talks American.

The George/Bertie Wooster poshness is grossly exaggerated too though.
What happened to the Dollhouse discussion? I can find the posts if I search for them, but they're not in my thread view  :? Just finished watching season 2, and it was awesome. Loved the increased momentum and harder Scifi edge. According to the extras they'd intended to add a genre switching element to the show to go with the personality switching, but once they realised they were going to be cancelled they just went for broke.
Watched 30 days of night on Blu-Ray today, it was OK (and the openning snow scenes looked awesome on Blu-Ray).

Yeah I mean I knew him from jeeves and wooster and blackadder and stuff like that long before house. Granted that yah accent is probably put on a bit too, but it's also presumably a lot closer to his real accent than the house one is.

Plus I mean we always complain about Americans doing "british" accents... we can't really complain too much when we ship hugh laurie over there with one like that

I mean House might even be quite good (I suspect it is), but that accent really is so bad that I can't get past it

I always found it interesting that a super-patriotic country like the USA is so totally accepting of foreign actors playing Americans.

I've never heard anyone complain about Batman being British, the Joker Australian, Indiana Jones having a Scottish father, even Jack Bauer being Canadian!
