Saw Bridesmaids in theatres when it ran there, and it was/is ABSURDLY hilarious.

I didn't like the look of Bridesmaids, but I heard Mark Kermode say it's good, and I quite often agree with his reviews... maybe I'll check it out.

This weekend I watched:

Juan de los Muertos (aka Juan of the Dead)
The best Cuban zombie comedy I've ever seen.  The only Cuban zombie comedy I've ever seen.  It was actually quite good.

Green Lantern
I can find something to like about most superhero movies.... but this was pretty dire.  Not unwatchable, just totally uninvolving and uninteresting.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

community is awesome - and probably a series anyone who considers themselves a film fan should watch

Well, I understand why. I went into it with the exact same degree of skepticism since it looked a lot like just any other run-of-the-mill rom-com. But then my girlfriend won two free tickets for it, so we went and I was BLOWN AWAY.

I just love how they stray so far from the "funny women in movies still have to be cute and desirable"-convention and just go whole hog with showing the female characters at their absolute worst.
They actually behave, and have actual character flaws like real people. Huge kudos to Kristen Wiig, both for writing a great script and for the courage to convincingly play a rom-com character where she is genuinely a ####!! sometimes. Can't recommend this film enough, especially if you're tired of the missus dragging you off the see shitee rom-coms

I haven't got anyone to drag me to rom-coms, so I don't see many of them unless they're on TV and there's nothing else to watch!

Last one I saw was The Proposal, which was just about bearable because Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock are good comedy actors.   Knocked Up was quite good.  Probably my "favourite" rom-coms are Honeymoon In Vegas and It Could Happen To You, probably thanks to Nic Cage and that goofy, likeable quality he has (or had...).

Anyway, I'll give Bridesmaids a go.

I think I'll be giving Bridesmaids a go too. Sounds like it might be good.

Jane was a bridesmaid at my sisters wedding. I gave her a go and 16 years later am still happy that I did.
I think I hate being indecisive.

As far as Rom coms go I think "As good as it gets" is pretty much as good as it gets...
It wasn't a mistake, it was chromaticism, I swear.

The paintball episode of Community was amazing. Senor Chang is possibly my favourite character from any TV series!
