Love the color, but the pickguard kinda ruins it. You wanna be able to see as much of that nice top as possible, don't you?

That wood is bloody lovely :) Just such a shame about the pickguard covering up most of it (I suppose I'm biased because I don't like pickgaurds, too :))

i liek it a lot  - but the scratchplate is a bit strange.  might look great in another colour or with a trans black scratchplate (depending on what it looks like underneath!!)

I think it looks AMAZING as it is! Keep the pickguard! How does it play/sound? I'm considering getting one...

I wouldn't call that chickening out!  Nice one!  :D

I think the scratchplate looks OK... maybe cream rather than white to match the "binding" better?  You'd have to get it custom made though, I suppose.

Thanks for the replies :)

hhcave-I'll let ya know when it gets here ;p I like the way it looks too 8)

The last Suhr I had, had the same bridge pickup, it was quite toppy in an alder body, I may prefer it in this combo basswood/maple though!

Yea I would have to order the pickguard from Suhr I guess and pay an arm and a leg ;p

mmmmm buzz light year tuning ;P

Good call! I think black and cream zebras would suit also.

Surely on a guitar fetching a price like that you'd expect an OFR?
