It looks dated like some cheap Hondo. I'm sure the quality is fine but looks-wise meh.   I think the opaque ones look better such as the sonic blue.
Just straight line it !

I didnt ask about a 22 fret version.

I personally didnt like them as much as the plain wood finishes.

The carved tops and the larger bodies on the main PRS's look nice with the special finishes.

If they do add this finish to it + birds your getting into Custom pricing and id rather have a custom.

Why would anyone get a nice maple top like that, then cover half of it with a pants pick guard  :?:

Now I hate PRS anyway, so just in terms of looks, I think they've taken a kinda quirky, retro-ish workman horse guitar and made it look like a cheap piece of rubbish trying to look expensive. Just like all the horrible £179 PRS clones on ebay.

Me too. I really liked the one in the transparent red finish that they had in Guitarist a while ago.

I prefer the original ones to be honest. The standard Mira had a great, workhorse vibe to it, which the maple top kinda ruins for me.

Its funny - I am an indie child so these guitars are angled at my market, but there is something about them that looks cheap. If they had SE on the headstock I wouldn't have been suprised lets put it that way!
The maple top does help but if I was buying a PRS I would go for a Singlecut or CU24.  :?

Y'see I don't know about PRS's, I like the basic SE models and the 'boring' Mira; but the flashy pants quilted jobbies do absolutely nothing for me. Pretty and all- I just dislike them. Though a plain top with p90s sounds niiiiice.

What about this?  Not a flame or quilt (or even a flammable quilt) in sight:

BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

It's red. I don't like red guitars. The only PRS shape i really like is the Mira, the McCarty and it's ilk look to wonky to me. Though saying that, I saw a SE Custom thing yesterday that was tasty- semi hollow, 2 p90s and a natural finish with a twinge of a flamed cap. Still rather take a solid colour over a burst any day.

It's red. I don't like red guitars.

It is so not red!  It's vintage sunburst.
