Sorry Roo!
Firstly, apologies to Tim and the boys if this thread is out of order and I'll understand if you pull it. But seeing as how I'm a BKP regular, and I'm not promoting a direct competitor, I'm hoping it's OK ;)
As I've mentioned on another thread I picked up a Squier Classic Vibe 50s Tele about a month ago, purely so I could have a dabble with open G tuning and a neck humbucker as the CV comes pre-routed. Which is nice :) I've tried the open G out, so now on to the humbucker....
My first idea was to try a Stormy Monday and then I thought about the TV Jones Classic I have in in the bridge of my Gordon Smith SG-1. I love that pickup there as it's very Malcolm Young sounding. So then I thought, what about a TV Jones Classic in the Tele? Nice low output should go well with a Tele bridge single coil! An order was made a couple of weeks ago and it arrived at work yesterday. I had a Doppelganger rehearsal last night, so tonight I've done all the prep work for soldering on Friday ('DC rehearsal tomorrow - busy week for rehearsals!)
I've also got a four-way switch I'm going to wire in too, but here's the work in progress. I reckon it looks great - can't wait to hear how it sounds!
