Surely some famous guitarists wil be like us and try everything though?  Especially the PRS ones when they visit the factory?  And no-one has chosen to have one?

I read that rosewood necks seem to work better with P90s and clean to crunch tones as they can give a slight mid 'scoop'.  Would make sense.  That may have cured my GAS...

I've never really been a fan of PRS although some of them do look the sex. That said, I really like the sound that the guy from Opeth gets from his, and I have been curious about trying one of the Korina body PRS just for tonal research.  :)

I think the Opeth guys use a variety of models, possibly even the Modern Eagle.

You're welcome to buy my spare McCarty Korina in the name of 'research'  ;)

As a man who lives constantly in his overdraft, I'm afraid I must respectfully decline.  :P

Talking of rosewood I do like this:

http://guitarvillage.co.uk/product-detail_huge.asp?id=6996&catid=71&quantity=1&manid=125&product=Fender+Telecaster+%28USA%29++Masterbuilt+Custom+Shop+Rosewood+Tele+%2707%2C+Natural%2C+New%2C+Inc%2E+Case+COA

I imagine Roo would like this.

WOWWW!
Sod Roo - he can get his own!!! (to pour scorn over no doubt)

That is the sexiest looking guitar pic I have seen in many a long month...

A rosewood tele is what I wanted for many many years before I actually owned a tele, or any guitar at all possibly, not sure when this was, but I was small... (something to do with Beatles I suspect, but I'm not sure...).

It is NOT worth £3,299.00 to me though

Never actually wanted one, but I've always thought they look great.  Apparently it's like hanging the QE2 anchor round your neck, though...
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

There was one (might still be) in the Brum SC, now, admittedly I'm a man who gigs Parker Flys bt jesus, it was not a gigging guitar!

Sounded fandabydosy though, if not very Fendery.

I haven't put BKPs in my PRSi, and have no intention to either.  I like the stock PRS pickups

VHIIs would work well though I think...

Yes, it's been mentioned on the forum many times that VHIIs are a good match for PRS guitars, but there's nowt wrong with the PRS pickups unless you want something drastically different.

Having said that I am thinking of beefing up my Mira with a Cold Sweat set  :P .  Or maybe a CS bridge and something a bit warmer in the neck, to compensate for the 24 frets.

MQ would work well Phil?  I find the Mira does lack some warmth, but it takes gain really well.  A vintage styled and feeling guitar for modern tones - that's how I find it.
