Without doubt it was the Line 6 JM4 Looper. Edit - pretty much the same as Philly in that the minute I got it out of the box (and played it for a few secs) I just knew it was going straight back!

Strangely enough I do like the pocket pod that was commented on earlier!

Was it that bad? Blimey...thanks for the heads up

Music man axis. It just doesn't get on with me. I think I'll have to get rid of it soon as its just sitting around collecting dust.

I think it was - strange as Guitarist gave it a gold. Maybe I didn't give it enough time! I do always trust my first instincts though - if it doesn't impress from the box it probably isn't going to be a keeper.
I think I hate being indecisive.

I just thought it sounded 'uninteresting'. Was looking for a low wattage valve amp which would give a good 'power amp' distortion when run flat out - it just didn't. Tried changing valves - tried several guitars.. some were better than others (SC seemed to sound better than humbuckers) ... tried several pedals which seemed to help (particularly Xotic BB). I much prefered the sound of my Cornford Hurricane/Hellcat at very low volume compared to the Minimat flat out. I'm sure there are many Minimat fans around (and many Cornford haters) - it just didn't do anything for me.

If I was in the market for a low wattage amp now I would go for the Blackstar HT5 - sounds much more what I was looking for.

Well, I have yet to receive either my Bodenhamer Bloody Murder or any word of its current build status, or indeed any contact from Joe Bodenhamer for the past month or more. I ordered this in May this year. Seriously unimpressed, personal circumstances allowing or not, that's just bad form. I reckon I won't see my cash or pedal. :/ Prospective buyers beware.

A Westfield Telecaster copy, it has the most comfortable neck profile I've ever played but, the frets aren't seated right, the neck is squint, a screw on the back of the heel has a sharp edge that scratches your palm, all the scratchplate screws were crooked, the bridge rusted into a lump within a month, the tuners wobble and (this being the most annoying) the pickups don't work any more.

I'm thinking this isn't going to be a £100000 classic in 50 years

oh and the lead socket fell off, I can't even give the darn thing away

Mine was an Ibanez RG470 - a purchase I didn't think through. Hated the neck - too thin, too flat, cr@p fretwork, bridge was a piece of cr@p, the pickups sucked, the setup was foul and the whole thing was neck heavy. It was, without a doubt, a complete dog. I've played other Ibanez guitars since and come to the conclusion I was very unlucky. Most have been well-made, if not entirely up my street, but I bought a POS.

Without a doubt, line6 pod. All those sounds and not one that doesn't sound synthetic
