Worst buy recently was a s/s/h set of bkps, the pickups were great but I sold the guitar a few days later...and the buyer asked if I had the original pups

Fender Lite Ash Strat,

sounded tinny despite a set of BKP holy divers and there was a fret buz that I just couldn't get rid of, even after a new nut and full set up, grrr, I am still pissed about that.

Fender Lite Ash Strat. BKP'd it and everything, still sounded like shite. Loved the look of that guitar but never happy with the tinny sound.

Traded it in for my explorer (best buy ever)

Epiphone entry level explorer, not the korina type. Complete impulse buy, tried it through a line 6 spider and thought it sounded great. Got it home, neck heavy beyond belief, terrible sound, terrible feeling neck. 300 quid down the drain.

I still have it kicking around in one of my cuboards, i've thought about selling it on, but i just dont know who would be foolish enough to buy it (aside from myself in the first place that is).

Mine would have to be a pocket pod... hated everything about it.  The build quality, interface design, sound quality.

DARMN!

I just ordered one for myself  :(

In which case, you should go back in time and sell it to your younger self.

Or maybe you already did...

Mine would def be the indyguitarist "The pinnacle" pedal.

It was advisertised as being the closest to the brown sound you could get in a pedal. It just sounded cr@p.  It had loads of knobs and switches but you could only really set the pots to one setting, as each pot seemed to rob something from the other one - so regardless of where they were set you had to "balance them" which resulted in the same cr@p sound, and for £150 odd pound it compared less than favourably to a secondhand unmodded SD1 which you can pick up for about £15.

Shortly after buying the pedal the guy put a disclaimer on his every changing website stating that it didnt take to all amps !

Well i tried it with 2 different marshalls, a 5150, Mesa boogie triple rec, vox, hughes and kettner attax 100- sounds shitee through each and every one of em!

I bought a certain acoustic guitar that had a "name" on it (the first and only time I have ever allowed myself to be seduced by a name) and it was not a pleasant guitar and when I came to my senses I cursed myself. I still have it but never enjoy using it.

A Gibson Les Paul in the (bad era) mid 80s - hours or paper round and backroom shop work and what a pile of shiteEEEEEE it was (it didn't help that I discovered I hate Les Pauls) - sold it and bought a Fender Esprit and a Sessionette in a sale.  Still have both of them today.
