Yeah. I don't know how I'd cope without the internet nowadays, but I do sometimes feel nostalgic for the days when you had to wait for things, or make a trip to the library to research something. And the days when a TV show was only on once and you couldn't record it, so everyone would be watching at the same time.
A bit of patience and anticipation is good.
i know what you're saying, but to be honest, it's a lot handier the way it is now. i mean, apart from anything, now you have the choice- you can still watch that TV program on the first day it's released, like you used to (i'm just old enough that i can remember the days before VCRs, PCs, the internet etc.), but if you miss it, now you have some form of comeback whereas before you were screwed.
plus you can still be screwed nowadays if you're as disorganised as i am. i almost came a cropper about a year ago when i missed a couple of episodes of Lost and 24. i certainly wasn't thinking, "ooh, isn't this nice, this brings you back!"... i was pretty pissed off... :lol:
