i am doing an extreme tele - but its not a neck through its a bolt on 1 piece macasser ebony neck - lots of sanding to do and a few holes to drill  and it will be ready to send of for finishing.

this is a mock up with some spare parts - not the actual pickups.  it will be finished blue similar to the multiscale


Its taken a while because its a lower priority - but when it is finally done it will be auctioned off for charity.

anyway - back onto the multiscale.  the fretboard has been stuck on so it was time to sort out the neck angle - this was cut into the body section of the neck through blank.  The back was planed flat - the front will all be levelled off ready for the maple cap once the wings are glued on



and with wings placed next to it  - not quite in the right place ;)



its all in clamps at the moment with the wings being stuck on

its still at the slow stage i am afraid - but at least its starting to look guitar shaped.

Have you bought it from Fraser Valley Fine Woods? I've a maple who looks like the cousin or brother of this top... Will try to take a pic this week :)

yes... it is now guitar shaped, plan for the day is add some channels for the wires and maybe do the control cavity before prepping the maple top and accent line to be stuck down

Seeing how much wood has been & will be cut out of it, I'm guessing that it's not going to be a hugely heavy guitar?  Which will be nice for a change ... the last ones that I've built have been on the weighty side!

this ones going to be on the light side.  definately no need to chamber it!!

atm its neck heavy - but considering i have a lot of wood to remove from neck and headstock, and a lot of wood/hardware to add to the body.. i know its going to balance perfectly once done
