Well it's here...
I took it out an inspected it carefully and checked a few basics..
- Nut cut very well and string alignment spot on
- Neck pocket nice and tight
- Electrics fully working
- All screws tight
Action... MILES high.
So I capo-ed the first fret and checked the neck relief and it wasn't too bad. So I put a shim in the neck pocket and gave a slight crank of the truss rod and let it settle.
After a while I re-did the intonation and she is pretty much spot on :D
Tele's are hard work I know but I' like the action as low as I think viable.
All in all it's a total bargain and a good player.
The only change I feel needs to be made are the bridge saddles because the raised height screws catch skin.
So a set of modern milled steel strat saddles will soon be fitted and job done. :P
Then we Esquire the bugger!!!
