For information, Gibson have just install electrically out-of-phase... Not magnetic out-of-phase like original "Greeny" guitar...

Tim should contact Gibson to offer them his services...

However, do you confirm the PG Blues set is it magnetic out-of-phase like originals pickups ? Are there 4 conductors or braided 2 ?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the phase but all BKP humbuckers are available with your choice of conductors.

In the Shop, there actually isn't a 2- or 4-conductor option for the PG Blues, they come stock with 2-conductor (so permanently out of phase).  But I'm sure you could custom order them with 4-conductor.

Here's a couple of quotes from Tim about the pickups (there's probably more info on the forum, but this came up with a quick search:

Quote from: Tim
The set has been made based on research from the time the guitar was in Peter and Gary's possesion and with the help of Sam Lee who did the original repair on the neck pickup and Charlie Chandler who has subsequently looked after the guitar for Gary.
The PG Blues set is completely unpotted, features vintage length rough cast Alnico II magnets and the neck pickup is wired so that it is permenantly out of phase with the bridge when in the middle position(not magnetically out of phase as often incorrectly quoted).

They're based on info I received from Charlie Chandler who worked on Gary Moores PG LP and actually had the covers off the humbuckers.I also got info from the guy who rewound the damaged neck pickup, Sam Lee,so the neck is wound in reverse like the original and with heavy formvar wire(not magnetically out of phase as often suggested).
Magnets-vintage cut 63.5mm rough cast Alnico II.
Gary Moore has been using the PG Blues in one of his LPs on his most recent tour.

Hi, welcome to the forum  :)

I have PG Blues in my LP Std and IMO they sound very accurate.

Another quote from Tim,
http://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/reviews.html

Quote
“The neck pickup was rewound in the opposite direction but with the magnetic polarity unchanged,” Mills affirms. “I’ve reproduced this, complete with heavy Formvar wire, and this accurately produces the Greeny tone when both humbuckers are selected.”

Thanks for answers.

The most adapted finish is "raw nickel" ? What do you think about ?

Nice guitar!  I like the "imperfect" grain lines in the maple top.

This "Collector Choice Les Paul" guitar is very good but Burstbuckers PU are not the same quality level...

Looks great with the exception of the 2 types of knobs? Is there a reason for that or just personal choice? So is that a Custom shop model?

That's just echoing the original Peter Green/Gary Moore Les Paul.  I don't know if it already had the mismatched knobs when Green owned it.

It's a good thing we don't buy repilcas that are 'Hairstyle correct' .  :o
