Personally I am waiting to see the Blackhawks - from what I have heard from Tim they will be pretty different from what we have had before .
I had no idea those existed. After a bit of searching, I'm quite intrigued.

I'd like them to do a 'Signature Tone' series. Kind of like pickups designed to catch the vibe of famous players. I think a lot of players would buy them.

Isn't that what they are already doing - see Rebel Yells and Crawlers?
And what about the others - most names come from songs, so you can draw the conclusion as to which signature stands behind it (War Pig - Tony Iommi, Miracle Man - Zakk Wylde, Holydiver - Vivian Campbell, Painkiller - Judas Priest, VHII - you all know who that is etc. etc.).

+1 on the stacked single coils. I would especially love them to do a stacked Tele model.

Cheers Stephan

The names are just to do with the vibe that Tim got when the pickup was complete.

But if he made pickups for specific tones it would be a lot more precise

Wow bro, there is a hell of a lot more to tone than just pick-ups. Even Dave Mustaine is notorious for pretty much only using Seymour Duncan JB's on their classic recordings. The JB is a very "over"-used pick-up, and I believe BKP has a model or 2 based on the JB already.

I know that as i said i can get pretty close but none of the bkp line that i have tried nail it.

the closest i've actually got is with a £23 iron gear pickup.

But thats beside the point i was going on with the signature line idea nothing more.

Like many others here, I'd love to see some single coil sized humbuckers. I don't care if they're stacked or rails as I know a BKP version would be fantastic. I REALLY wanted a couple of these when I did my Jackson but as I couldn't stand to leave BKP, I ended up with a couple of Trilogy Suites instead. They're really good pickups that I like a lot but I'd certainly change them if BKP ever offered single coil sized humbuckers.
BKP owned:

Bridge - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; A-Bomb; Holydiver; Miracle Man; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

Neck - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; Holydiver; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

Best guitar I've every heard was an LP Delux with mini humbuckers - I can only dream about what that guitar would have sounded like with mini BKP humbuckers!!!

But no - business as usual as we like to say around these here parts.  There are PUPs to suit all situations in the range.

I think Tim should retire the bare knuckle fighter logo though.  Looks too much like my great uncle Bernard who used to fight at the Kursal in Southend in the early 1900's...
BKPs Past and Present - Nailbombs, Mules, Blackguard Flat 50's, VHII's & Trilogy Suite with Neck & Bridge Baseplates!

Firebird pickups for the same reasons as given by the others - probably my favourite humbucking pickup is a vintate-ish Firebird mini-hum, so I'd love to hear BKP's take on this.

Also, what about something for 5 & 6-string basses? I know this is probably harder to cater to than the guitar pickup market, because there seem to be a lot of different shapes and formats for bass pickups, but a 5-string j-type pickup seems to be fairly standard.

I actually like that retro-retro logo.

I think it's enormously cool as well.

As for me, I know this is a pipe dream but drop-in replacements for the EMG 707 and 808 would be the top of my list. Otherwise I'm perfectly content.

Would definitely like to see some more of the different types that are commonly available (Jazzmasters/Jaguars/Mini Hums/Firebirds/Filtertron) or some sort of Pole magnet type humbucker - Bass Soapbars too.

This always seemed an interesting concept for a hum-cancelling single: http://curtisnovak.com/pickups/repairs/hc-strat/index.shtml

Yeah the logo is cool though it's the whole imagery behind the Bare Knuckle concept and is still classy looking.

It's an awesome logo, a whole think-tank of these modern marketing kiddies couldn't have picked a better one.
(Actually I don't want to know what they would have picked).
Current BKPs: Miracle Man, Nailbomb, Juggernaut, VHII
Past BKPS: Holy Diver, Trilogy Suite, Sinner, Black Dog

Tele version too:

Effectively it's a variation on the P-bass pickup, I guess.

But there's a limit to how much you can wind on each mini-coil, because they have to sit right next to each other, with limited space.  And I wonder if there'd be any issue if the two coils touch each other?  Don't know if that would cause problems or not.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Maybe they should just make pickups, or maybee tea and scones.

I would love an active to passive kit made up of pickup rings and push-pull volume/tone pots. Just a small accessory you could buy along with your new pickups at checkout.

What are you on about?

components from eg. Emg does not work well with Passive pickups. There are some things, like pots that you must change.
