Another vote for the ISP here. Contrary to what Tony might tell you, I sometimes dabble in a bit of teh blues, and I find it works very well, although my experience with using it for metal is much more extensive, haha

Doesnt your ISP add noise :D???

Go $%&# yourself :D
I actually think it's the loop on my amp y'know. I've sent it back once already and they said it had loop problems.

You should try it with another amp then :D

Because if it is adding noise its a pretty useless noise gate :D

All fine since I swapped out those bad power valves ;)

I've tried a few noise gates over the past few years, none of them are perfecg but the closest to it is definitely the ISP.

i find the modded mxrs to be a lot more usable. Purely because whilst the ISP is fantastic it is a bit heavy handed.

I like to be able to set the attack, threshold & attenuation individually for best results. And for the circuit to be completely off once the signal passes above a certain threshold.

The ISP is fantastic though

any pedal adds noise
never played a noise gate that didn't add a subtle noise despite of cutting all the noise that comes from other pedals before it
guess that's related to interference from radio waves, lamps, computers, other pedals, amps, and coming from the outlets through our power supplies
I can hear the extra noise in most pedals when I turn them on
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat
