Blackhawks are punchy, tight and clear, yet I find them a tad sterile (maybe I should say: hifi on turbo) compared to other BKP's. But they might do the trick for you.

This review is one way !
Everything seems perfect with this set. Maybe too...
I understand what you mean by "a tad sterile".

Relevant review ?
Any Black Hawks's users ?

Thinking that the right B-Hawks's set is C-A5
Trying to imagine this set in a Thiele loaded w.EV' for real HiFi Tone :afro:

I saw several Parisian "Crossover Punk Metal" bands playing with Orange head and Mesa Thiele w/EV' and their sound was absolutely huge !

ThX All & Love From France

Probably the Orange has a big part in that sound. I have an Orange Rockerverb MKI with a HOOK 2x12 cab with WGS Veteran and WGS Hook ET Custom (type Celestion G12-65). With the master past 12.00 o'clock it is ferocious (loud).

Hahaha, guess what, it's huge sounding too, especially on this cab.

I don't know forummembers that own the Blackhawk. I would give them a go. BKP has a good returnpolicy.

Out of those sets, the Miracle Man has easily the best track record in SGs.
BLACK HAWKS
IMPULSES
COBRA-T
WAR PIGS
STOCKHOLM
COLD SWEATS
MIRACLE MAN
TRUE GRIT

That is of course bec is one of the oldest BKP, so a long track record. I never heard a Blackhawk in an SG by example.

I have a Cold Sweat neck pickup and a Miracle Man bridge, which is a popular combination, but I've seen good reviews of the Miracle Man set here as well.

ThX Dave !

During this evening rehearsal, we exclusively cover Body Count songs.

I think now that I only need the BKP Set that will give me that "BC Tone".
I read an interview in which Ice-T declared that the sound he had in mind when BC was born was "Slayer's Tone" (from "Show No Mercy" to "South of Heaven")

So, I think that I need the BKP Set that will give me "Slayer's Tone" & "BC Tone" w/ a full mahogany SG.

That's my conclusion, help me finish this job  :afro:!

Well that's going to be either a Cold Sweat or a Miracle Man.  I think you could get early Slayer tone from either.  MM is probably the better bet

Thanks Dave  :afro:
You're a True Master.

I will listen to more sample of the two sets to finally decide !
Miracle Man or Cold Sweat

And if any of you have any other ideas to give this SG the desired tone, let me know quickly !

I reread carefully all the messages we wrote.

It seems that in the minds of others, Cold Sweat quickly became obvious.
Is it a sign of destiny?

In France, it is said that one must always follow one's first intuition.
Dave Sloven, what was the first set that you thought for me ?
A Miracle Man Set or a Cold Sweat Set ?

Thank you all again and Merry Christmas !
