The A-bomb in my SG was very aggressive, a real one-trick pony

I like it a lot better in my Explorer.

My advice is to be very wary of it in an SG.  A VHII would be a better bet if you want something like a Cold Sweat with more mids

Also the Black Dog seems like it would be better in an SG than either the Aftermath or the A-Bomb

If you want to go Nailbomb get the C-Bomb.

Thank you very much for your wise advice Dave.

I was decided to leave on a Set of Cold Sweats, and then after talking to my guitar tech, it indicated that Cold Sweat was probably too busy in highs, much like Miracle Man.

I have to find a set to better control the bass that mahogany will give naturally and treble natural to all SG.

After listening and analyzing the technical specifications, I thought Aftermath matched my research.
After an exchange with you, it seems that the Aftermath is a bad choice for my SG.

Finally, and after listening, I don't appreciate VHII or other C / A-Bombs.

I have listened to many times the samples of the Black Dog and I recognize that appreciates.
I did not even listen to them, they are indeed categorized "Vintage Hot" but to my ears, they cover a wider area than the '60s and' 70s.
You think that this set of Black Dog could cover the tone of BodyCount or BioHazard ?

And besides, if you had an amp to advise for these tones, you would advise which?

Thank you all again for your help !

I haven't listened to Body Count or Biohazard in twenty years, sorry.

Seems like you have too many people giving you advice, and you are confused.  I really don't know what to say.  You will need to trust your own ears.  Just remember that the SG is a funny beast, and tends to be predominantly mid-mids and low-mids and lacking true bass compared to an Explorer or even a Les Paul.  All of the humbucker sound clips on the BKP site are recorded in a Les Paul.

In the contemporary range the pickups that have good results in SGs are:

Cold Sweat
Miracle Man
A-Pig
C-Pig
C-Bomb

In the vintage hot:

VHII
Black Dog

In vintage:

all as far as I can tell.

Out of my SGs my favourite is the one with the Stockholm, but that's a P-90 and it takes a special hand to keep that under control.

I recorded a very sloppy demo with it years ago.  I am playing the rhythm part.  The lead guitarist is using a Tele with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder.

I left that band at the end of 2015.

ThX Dave, you have summed up the situation perfectly.
My ears are almost tired of listening to so many demos.

I think you made a very good list of sets giving excellent results with an SG.
I thank you very much, now it's my turn to make my choice, and to decide on the sets of the list that you submitted me!

And you should listen to BodyCount or Biohazard, it has not aged, not a wrinkle  :afro:

And I understand your advice better since you told me that all the demos were recorded on Les Paul.
I thought they had used a Stratocaster HH like a Suhr.

Having failed to decide for a Bare Knuckle Set, I finally compulsively bought a Lace Hammer Claws Set.
I hope I did not make a big mistake ...
