Currently on 'Spotify'
What's the crack with Spotify? How do I get an invite? I've got myself a laptop now which means I don't have to use the works one, so I'm after getting this. Naturally I'm a tight git and don't want to pay.
Join the club mate :lol: - for as much as it was recommended to me , I wanted the free version or not at all. I just had to go to the site and ask to join the so called "Queue for free invitation" - a few months ago ; and eventually I got the 'welcome aboard' invite. I did not like the way they employ this this cheap marketing trick of creating an illusory ( and probably automatically pre- timed) 'Queue' - but as I did not crack under the strain of waiting ( as if ... :lol: ) all's well that ends well.
The chap that was so insistent I would find
great research / leisure value from it, is a Keyboard player who also teaches Music Technology / Studio craft - and so for him £ 10 a month for the Professional version , is small change.
As cynical as I was about it's usefulness ( having not really understood what it was / looked like - till I was allowed access ) it is proving very valuable inspiration for my novice chord melody arranging - and of course proving a great way to discover some great artists and albums; , along with free nostalgia , esoteric JukeBox - and 'Try before you buy' facility. :)
