Chickenfoot III.

I like. Feels more mature than the first one.
Yep. Better songs, more coherent overall.

Saint Jude (the free CD with Classic Rock).  It's a great old style rock album.
So many pickups, so little time

Didn't even know there was a Chickenfoot II!

I've been recording some new stuff this weekend so that's been getting listened to. When I've not been busy with that I've mostly been listening to a big occult rock playlist. Blood Ceremony and Ghost and Coven and Black Widow and Jacula and The Devil's Blood and Jex Thoth and so on. Tons of silly fun.

Trying to work my way through the Dream Theater corpus, I don't know how far I'm going to make it before I move on.

There wasn't - they decided to skip the "difficult second album" and go straight to III.  Hilariously.  :|

Dear me. You can imagine the cringeworthy meeting that led to that.

Yes indeed.  I can't imagine it originating from anyone other than Mr Hagar.  After a few Waboritas.

While I had expected more from Chickenfoot as well, I have to say the new album is a step up from the debut.

Listening to :
Steel Panther - Balls Out
Whitesnake - Live In The Heart Of The City

I've always meant to check that one out.  I must confess I'm not really a Motörhead fan (!!!!! :o !!!!!), byt the presence of Robbo makes it interesting.

Its a great blend to be honest. Lemmy's raw vocals and bass with some very very melodic guitar work from Robbo. Lemmy seems to have turned down the distortion on the bass somewhat which helps too. Its good stuff basically.

Whitesnake - Live In The Heart Of The City

Fine album indeed. Last week I listened to the more recent Live In the Shadow of the Blues and I rather felt that the Blues was in the shadow.

Cheers Stephan
