I do rather like the Dean headstock, but it looks much better on their Cadillac- Seriously, that's a sexual guitar. I need to get one at some point. :D
The point being on the underside is possibly the worst design idea Dean have ever thought of :S
you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly
regarding the cadillac, i'm also not sure about the dean headstock on that - but what other shape can you imagine that would look right? not an explorer or a les paul headstock anyway...
Gibson actually came up with that headstck shape and it was originally meant to go on flying vee's - i think there may have actually been a few early ones that were built with it.There was also a very similar shape that gibson intended on using on the Moderne but that never made it past being a prototype anyway and they went for an even worse design for the headstock when the reissued it in the 80'sBoth of these where designed around 1958!! - imagine what that headstock looked like to people then
