i know the guitar that you had the title of this thread for is the one you are planning on selling - but as yet do not have a buyer (?) - but do these other ones have buyers, or were they commissioned?  Right now i am too lazy to go back and see if you already answered this question.  By the way, i $%&#in love the LP, it is so gorgeous.

EDIT: so that is quilted redwood is it? wow. stunning.
BKPz: Nailbomb+VHII, more to come...

I'm going to have to be an arse and say I'm not sure the 3x3 headstock will suit the Explorer shape, but looking forward to being proved wrong.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

i dont think everyone will like the 3x3 on an explorer but thats ok....

I have somebody possibly lined up for the strat (veteran).

The lp was just me experimenting with new things, i may sell it if i am happy with it.  If i am not i will experiment a bit more!!

The explorer was because i wanted something quick and easy to do - although its developed into a more complex beast since then!!

Basically i use my extra time in summer to build the things i want to, i might keep one of them

i thought about it but did the explorer instead.  I have done a few firebirds before and want to experiment with the design of my firebird Jr a bit more

there is lots of stuff i want to build but only so many hours in the day :(

This firebird was my first ever guitar for someone else, i think it was my 3rd or 4th guitar overall:

Anyway, i decided to make two identical ones and he could choose, mainly because i needed the comfort of a backup guitar on this first commission.  It was a good idea because i carved right through to the truss rod!!  thats not something you can get away with on a thru-neck.  I was glad i had decided to do two!!  I chopped the neck off and made it a set-neck instead with a solid white finish

firebird junior

That guitar was never quite right though, depite being really cool looking - so i want to recreate it properly at some point!

i have the super large neck pocket cut out on the explorer:

I know not everyone will like the 3 a side headstock but i feel the curve on the end of the headstock reflects the curve on the end of the body quite nicely

Nice guitar! I think a headstock 3+3 a little thinner in the middle would look better to me... But as you said, it matches well with the curve of the body :)
How does sound Ziricote?? Will be this guitar solid finished in the body?
