Yeah, individual bridges mounted on a ziracote plate.  The earth wire hole is slightly larger than normal to accomodate a wire from each bridge.  The actually channel is normal size - just enlarged at surface so i can join 6 wires into 1.... it wont be visible at all!!

This thing is all about comfort, its just over 1 1/2" thick, fully contoured and weighs practically nothing at the moment.  Its only a 1" fan from 25" to 26" with the 7th fret parallel... I just wanted enough to tighten up the low e when down tuning.

the neck is all reclaimed mahogany.  the body wings  are mahogany, a thin bit of flamed maple and the quilted redwood on top.  I have the neck showing on the front because i got the redwood very cheap and it was never going to be good for anything other than a neckthrough

Yea, my next guitar is going to be really comfy too, will be a more 'organic' shape, with nice rounded edges etc.  I think it'll have a similar fan to my current build, but with a perpendicular fret somewhere around the 7th i'd imagine.

veeery nice.
the bridge mount thingy looks a bit odd in that colour to me, could you paint that instead of using an ebony one?

its ziracote at the moment, matches the fretboard nicely but i am tempted to make another one out of ebony and maybe try a different shape/size too.

i knew the bridge plate idea would always divide people but i really wanted this to have a LP style neck angle because i wanted to keep certain LP characteristics whilst making it a damn sight more ergonomic.  For me a LP without a neck angle would feel wrong and the bridge plate let me keep it

yeah my cousin Nath does finishing for me inbetween his full time job, a 2 nights a week plumbing course, doing plumbing work experience all day saturdays and having a band.... Thats why things are taking a while to finish at the moment - - -  he tells me he enjoys doing it though!!

We are curently experimenting with trans finsihes and he is getting great at it - really magaes to capture a depth of colour that is hard to photograph, strange with his colour blindness.  you only have to see that the guitar looks a different colour in every photo to see what i mean - so much nicer in real life!!  I do help out with colour mixing on customer stuff but largely leave him to his own devices for my stuff

Gorgeous - I think the plate could be improved though.

ebony sounds good - But the shape is what puts me off - Maybe it should be parallel to the bridge on all sides and curved off towards each edge?

That would look ace.
