i reckon there would be some fun to be had with a wine bottle as a slide - maybe get some strange sound effects anyway, mainly the sound of cracking wood i imagine.
My main issue with it is his attitude. If i had come across that thing and the guy was fully aware that what he had made was far from perfect but just wanted to have an experiment as a muck around then that would be fair enough.

its the first guitar i made. It had an uncountable number of flaws and played very badly - but actually managed to sound very nice which convinced me to do more!! I still think it looks pretty cool as well, even though the wooden scratchplate never went flat. I cut it up into pieces last year because i was never gonna play it anymore and niether was anyone else if i had anything to do with it.
Anyway, the point of that nostalgia for me - you will notice that on my first i went for a fairly established design and construction method.. cant re-invent the wheel till you understand how the old one works!!!
