The guy just looks like a total chancer who's trying to make a few quid out of some unsuspecting sap. Here's hoping the prat fails miserably.

there is no way to tune it - not without about 400lbs on that laminated pine construction

there is lots about this on the project guitar forum, where we are generally quite accepting of newbies bad ideas - as long as they are willing to take advice from people who know better.

Some of them have been asking the ebay questions and leaving constructive criticism on youtube that keeps getting deleted..

I dont think its ever been wired up because why would you unwire it to sell it when there is only really one way it can be wired anyway!!!

One asked how he had recorded the sound samples in one of his videos - the answer was 'software'!!!!

How in god's name are you supposed to play it if it can't be tuned? (I'm expresing incredulity at 13 string bloke's lack of skill here, not being sarcastic towards Wez.)

He didn't even measure the headstock correctly - So none of the strings reach their corresponding machineheads =x

which begs the question.... why did he not wire it up...? seeing as it's so amazing and such a unique, fine instrument you would assume that he would...

i still think he's been a total dumbarse and not actually routed the pickup to the control cavity.

y'know, i feel kinda sorry for this poor deluded gimp, although i suspect if i had to spend some time with him i might feel something else!

the "bass" so obviously doesn't actually work, yet he seems to have invested all of himself in it. it looks like it was made by a four year old.

and then there's the tattoo video. i couldn't bring myself to watch all of it. "my girlfriend's not here at the minute"? i suspect his girlfriend is what's holding the camera!! :roll:

i actually feel guilty saying anything bad about him, he's just obviously a deluded idiot. unfortunately in these days of the internet he can spread his message and be derided by people all over the world!!

so, i think "sad" is the word we're all looking for. maybe we should just leave him alone?

(we'll all be kicking ourselves when the next big band(tm) arrives armed with super basses!! :lol: )

i know what you are saying blue, i do feel a little cruel!!

But the issue here isnt that he has tried to make something and got it a bit wrong - i wouldnt usually mock somebody for that... The issue is that hes trying to pass it off as something good, and whats worse - he is trying to sell it as a proper instrument!!!!

If he had made this for personal use i would be very supportive to his experiments. i would offer constructive criticism where i think he had gone wrong and if he listened he would probably end up with something at least playable.

as soon as i put it up for sale he opened himself up for public humiliation, and his attitude doesnt help!!!

Lets just say there is no way those bass sounds are coming from that bass and leave it at that!!

I am all for extended range basses - still not sure how people play them but there are lots of very talented luthiers experimenting with designs.
