Just found a picture of my old JTM45
I got it for a low price and foolishly sold it when I was hard up about 10 years ago - I have kicked myself many times over that

It was slightly older than me (serial no 3143) and was supposed to be a bass amp, but did sound rather good with guitar.

To make things worse I also sold an old Sound City 4x12 which had original Celestion G12 speakers in (from about 1967/8)

Doh! Block logo JTM45 mkII. '65 to '67ish.

That's worth about £10,000 now....

Ouch!

I did wonder - serial number put it at March 1965
Still had all original valves etc
Single speaker jack, Bulgin socket and fuse on white rear panel
2 owners before me- last guy had it since 1969- still had a sticker on the back from Carlsboro sound where he bought it

Dave Gregory ex of XTC always preferred the old Marshall bass amps for guitar solos (especially when he as doing his Hendrix tribute tracks)

It's amazing the lack of forsight that guitar players have when it comes to selling kit :(

Yup, Musicground had a white panel one from '65 last time I went. They were asking £15000 for it.

Yup, Musicground had a white panel one from '65 last time I went. They were asking £15000 for it.

And i thought Marshall amps were cheaper in the UK ! :lol:

It's geting worse! I keep trying to find ways to fund it, considered selling my motorbike, looks like the cornford is definately going to fund it & I'm trying to sort out a cab as well. Parents are wonderful things when you have no money!
